Keeping Sobriety After Treatment

Alcoholism is an illness of the body and mind that can seriously affect the lives of the people that allow us it, as well as the lives of the people around them. Sobriety doesn’t need to be boring; like a matter of fact it is seldom dull. Many sober members of A.A. are astonished at how full their lives are in recovery.

It’s recommended in order to stay sober: that sober alcoholics give attention to the next

* Live a healthier and active life style that helps general physical, mental, and spiritual health

* Continue to see literature regarding sobriety and recovery

* Be part of a 12-step program such as A.A. or N.A.

* Avoid bad people and people that drink intensely or use drugs

* Be surrounded by supportive and positive people

* Avoid individuals, places and things that might trigger a relapse
